School Sports Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Contract type: Fixed Term Maternity cover up to 12 months

Hours: 37 hours per week over 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Grade/SCP: Band 4, SCP 11 - 17

Salary: Full time Equivalent £27,269 - £30,060 Per Annum

Actual Salary: £23,519.51 - £25,926.75 pro rata

Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Voluntary Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated School Sports Assistant to join our thriving secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about sports and physical education, eager to support and inspire students in developing their athletic abilities and overall wellbeing.

The Role:

  • Organise and lead identified school sport competitions throughout the year acting as the event organiser
  • Support the delivery of playground leaders within Primary Schools
  • Support the delivery of the competition programme through targeted after school coaching programmes
  • Assist the School Games Organiser and Sports Partnership Manager with the delivery of young ambassador programme and teacher CPD courses

The role will involve travel to various schools across East Midlands.
