School Traffic Attendant job summary
Southfield School is seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Traffic Attendant to assist in managing vehicle and pedestrian movement within and around the school premises. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of learners, staff, parents and visitors during school arrival and departure times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage traffic flow at school entrances and exits
- Ensure designated drop-off and pick-up areas run smoothly
- Enforce parking regulations and encourage safe driver behaviour
- Communicate politely and effectively with parents and staff
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to management
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence at all times
Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Previous experience in security/traffic control (advantage but not essential)
- Must be willing to undergo background checks
