Science Faculty Lead job summary

Part of Cumbria Education Trust, The Queen Katherine School (QKS) is seeking to appoint a Science Faculty Lead to continue the improvement journey of this forward thinking faculty. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher who is highly motivated, has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully lead a dedicated team of professionals.

The science faculty at The QKS comprises a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed group of teachers and technicians who work hard to provide the very best science education for all of our students.

The Science Faculty Lead drives all areas of improvement within the Science faculty (which includes Social Sciences and Health & Social Care) as well as playing a major role in whole school leadership and improvement.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a real interest in the learning process and a commitment to raising expectations and achievements. They will also have experience of successfully leading for change.
