Deliver targeted, high-impact small group and 1:1 sessions

Identify misconceptions and rapidly accelerate progress

Build students’ confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

Strengthen exam technique and scientific literacy

Turn “I can’t do this” into “I’ve got this”
Your work will directly influence student achievement at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping learners secure the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Who we're looking for
You will:

Hold QTS (or equivalent)
-
Have strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 Science
-
Understand how to diagnose learning gaps and respond strategically
-
Be skilled at motivating and building rapport with young people
-
Have high expectations and a relentless commitment to raising standards
Experience working with students who require additional academic support is highly desirable — but above all, we are looking for someone who believes in possibility.

The school is situated to the West of London with good rail and road access. Our location means our staff enjoy living in areas such as West and South West London, Surrey and Berkshire making fantastic choices for city, suburban or rural living available.
Thamesmead is a vibrant and successful school. In 2019 our students gained strong GCSE results. 85% of students gained a 4 grade or higher in English and Maths and 58% of students achieved a grade 5 or higher in English and Maths. 83% achieved 5 GCSEs or more graded at 4 or above.
