Science Lab Technician
Location: Barnhill Community High School
Salary: Scale 4 NJC Point 7 £25,320 per annum
Contract Type: Part -time, permanent
Working Weeks: Term time only plus 5 Inset days (38 weeks per year)
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4pm

The Role: The Science Lab Technician will be a member of the Science Department, supporting the teaching staff in delivering high quality education for students at Barnhill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, set up, and deliver equipment, materials, and chemicals for science lessons, as the teaching staff requires.
- Support science staff during practical sessions and assist with demonstrations as appropriate.
- Clear away and clean apparatus and laboratories after lessons, including safe disposal of waste material
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment.
