Science/Maths Teacher job summary
We are looking for a maths or science qualified teacher who is able to teach both subjects to GCSE. You will teach pupils at our Dover Road site where there are three classes of up to 10 pupils, one at KS3 and two at KS4. All are mixed ability classes and pupils have a range of Special Educational Needs, predominantly SEMH, anxiety, ASC, school refusal and some medical needs.
You will have a tutor group and will hold termly multi-agency review meetings for each class member supported by their Learning Mentor. You will liaise with a range of professionals and the SENCo ensuring that pupils’ needs are assessed and provision packages meet them.
Accountable to the Teacher in Charge on the base and the Heads of Department you will support the school in ensuring it is managed to meet and surpass ACE’s aims and targets.
