Science Teacher job summary

It is an exciting time in the Science department at Becket Keys Church of England School. Following our recent and successful Ofsted we are looking to appoint a new science teacher to support our team. This role would suit teachers of either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

If you get along well with other people, want to be in a friendly environment with plenty of cakes and coffee, and if you enjoy working with highly motivated students, then we want to hear from you! You might be a student who is just finishing training or a teacher with a few years’ experience looking for a new setting. You could be a science teacher thinking about returning to the classroom after a career break. Whatever your background we are confident that we can help you take the next steps in your career.

Science is consistently strong department in our school and it delivers very high standards in terms of progress and attainment. Students thoroughly enjoy their science lessons at this school with very good numbers continuing to A Level. Students are taught a highly practical hands-on curriculum to ensure students develop lab skills alongside superb curriculum knowledge. We are supported by the Russell Education Trust and the successful candidate will have regular support, assistance, and guidance from our excellent senior science adviser on a weekly basis.

We have a lot of information about the school on our website, but we are also keen to welcome applicants to come for a tour and a face-to-face meeting with the head of department.
