Purpose:

You will deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum to students of varying abilities, establishing a positive learning experience that supports every child to achieve their full academic potential. You will share our commitment to raising standards of attainment and instilling a lifelong passion for science that empowers students for life. You will work closely with our experienced faculty team, communicate effectively with families and bring a steadfast belief that all students can succeed and flourish within our diverse community

Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

  • Deliver a broad, balanced and differentiated science curriculum to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Monitor and support the progress and development of students to ensure they achieve their full academic potential.
  • Prepare and teach high-standard lessons that follow designated programmes of study and secure student engagement.
  • Contribute to raising standards of attainment and closing the achievement gaps between different groups of students.
  • Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students.
  • Maintain discipline and a pleasant, subject-focused learning environment in accordance with school policies.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources to enhance the science curriculum.
  • Maintain regular and productive communication with parents and carers regarding their child’s progress and behaviour.
  • Share in the delivery of students' personal development and academic growth in the role of a tutor.
  • Organise and participate in motivating educational trips and events to inspire students

Fluency Duty
