What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of Science to join our Department and teach the subject at Key Stage 3-4. You will be working in a very cohesive and supportive department that is committed to providing an innovative and high-quality science education for all our pupils. We are a strong team that is motivated to achieve positive pupil experiences and outcomes.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend CPD workshops run locally, regionally and nationally, allowing them to continue to develop their own subject understanding and to further advance their teaching and learning expertise.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: -

  • a passion for science education with an excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical understanding.
  • Excellence as a classroom practitioner, with experience in teaching science at key Stages 3 and 4
  • success in achieving consistently good results in science examinations
  • the ability to create and facilitate highly challenging and engaging lessons
