The governors wish to give the opportunity for a main scale teacher to join our outstanding school to teach science. Kilgarth is a maintained special school for boys aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. It was recently inspected by Ofsted and judged to be outstanding in all areas; following our previous outstanding inspection in 2015 the Ofsted report noted that “there is extremely high morale within an exceptional atmosphere that nurtures pupils’ learning and improves their behaviour.” Kilgarth’s success has been down to its unique system of collaborative working that benefits children, staff and all other stakeholders. The school has strong links with a number of local charities and organisations and is also federated with Gilbrook School, the local outstanding SEMH primary school.
