What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to add to our team of enthusiastic and devoted teaching staff that we have at our friendly, successful and oversubscribed school and we are seeking a permanent position science teacher, to join our knowledgeable department from the Summer Term 24.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who has the ability to apply support strategies where barriers to learning present themselves, someone able to communicate effectively and understand the support needs of students within education and the challenges for students making the transition between settings.

  • UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • To be a driven and passionate educator
  • To be able to diversify learning resources and activities to meet the needs for individual students
  • Self-motivator who can work independently
  • MPS / UPS scale + SEN 1 allowance depending on experience
  • Part-time / job share considered


What the school offers its staff

Maplewell currently has 300 students across two sites aged between 11 – 19 years. The successful applicant will deliver and share their subject knowledge to our students ranging from KS3 through to High Level GCSE.
