Job/Person Summary

The successful candidate will be required to teach all abilities across KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard and continue to ensure that Science remains core to all we do in Academy life.

This role offers outstanding opportunities for the right candidate to develop their role working in collaboration with the other academies in the region. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. We are looking for a passionate teacher who shares our desire for the highest academic standards for young people.

A willingness to support the Academy ethos and extra-curricular activities within the Academy is essential(and an enjoyable aspect of the role).

What the school offers its staff

Why Consider Oasis?

If your list of favoured ‘dead or alive’ dinner party guests is more stacked in favour of Archimedes, Edison, Marie Curie and Darwin than Kardashian, Trump, Presley and Simpson then we may be on the same visible spectrum wavelength.

We need an inspirer of minds and a transferer of knowledge who understands the difference between “theory," "hypothesis" and "model" and a knack of how to get bright young minds to want to understand that difference. We need a science devotee with a belief that everyone has the right to learn and to progress.

Sound like your cup of Triethylamine?

In return we’ll give you access to personal development to progress your career, maybe via NPQ’s or if you have loftier ambitions, as a National Practitioner; a highly supportive network of peers and professional educators and an ethos and culture that is committed to delivering the best teaching and learning for all.
