Science Teacher - permanent and 1 day a week job summary

Due to the relocation of a long-standing member of staff, we are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with QTS to coordinate and deliver KS3 and KS4 Science to our pupils. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, have a calm and considerate approach to teaching have high expectations, and be fully committed to supporting young people who are unable to attend school due to their medical needs. Your planning will take into account the diversity of need and ability within each teaching group, and you will have a good understanding of assessment and monitoring pupil progress. The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Science up to GCSE level. Teaching will involve predominantly but not exclusively KS3/4 pupils preparing for GCSEs. The candidate will also be expected, to be fully involved in the pastoral education of the young people we support and deliver PSHE lessons. St. Peter’s is committed to CPD for all staff. A second subject other than Science would be advantageous.
