What skills and experience we're looking for

Required from September 2024, a highly motivated and innovative teacher of science to join our successful science team. You will be able to teach Science across KS3 and KS4 to entry level/GCSE, predominantly to small groups of students with additional needs. This post could suit somebody either primary or secondary trained.

The successful candidate will:

  • have a deep love of the subject.
  • be able to successfully teach Science to mixed ability groups across key stages 3 and 4, but mostly small groups of students with additional needs.
  • contribute constructively to the development of the curriculum, and be able to adapt the secondary curriculum for students with additional needs.
  • take a keen interest in their own professional development.
  • enjoy working in a busy, vibrant environment.

The successful candidate will be, or have the potential to, rapidly become an outstanding practitioner who can make a difference to the lives of our students. Science is a popular subject within the school and we have a full induction/training programme for new staff and ECT’s.
