About The De Montfort School

Our school motto is 'unlocking your child's potential' and this belief is the foundation of everything we do at our school. As a staff team, we work together to ensure that all of our students, whatever their background or prior attainment, have the opportunity to succeed. In applying to the school, you would be joining a highly professional and motivated team of staff who go the extra mile for the students every day.

We are a unique school, having the benefit of Year 6 students and this gives us a real opportunity to make an accelerated start in Year 7, as the students are already comfortable at our school. We are very proud of our students' progress in 2019; our progress 8 figure was +0.3 which is in the top 30% of schools in the country. Our students' progress at Key Stage 4 means that we have a flourishing sixth form, with a diverse number of subjects being studied by our sixth form students.

As a school, we believe in social mobility, and we want our students to achieve the qualifications they need to take them to the next stage of their education. We strive to enable them to be successful. We have ambition for our students and match this with our high expectations. Our students are enthusiastic and eager to learn. They all have great potential but really benefit from teachers who are experts in their field, innovative in their teaching approach and willing to build strong relationships with them.

The De Montfort School has joined King Charles I School and Haybridge High School & Sixth Form as part of The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust. We now have the opportunity to work with two other like-minded schools that will have the capacity to improve the education and life chances of a larger group of young people when combined.
