Science Teacher (Trust SLE) job summary

Think you can spot great teaching at 100 paces?

We’re looking for a Science teacher at The Deanes - and maybe more.

If you’re an experienced science teacher ready for a new challenge, we’ve got something special for you. Alongside your role at The Deanes, you could spend one day a week as a SEEAT Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) for Science.

We’re after someone who loves the classroom, thrives on making learning stick, and knows how to spark curiosity in young minds. If you believe great teaching changes lives, we want to hear from you. This isn’t a role for spectators. We want someone who rolls up their sleeves, gets stuck in, and makes people feel both supported and challenged.

As an SLE, you’ll work across our schools with senior leaders and teachers to:

  • Drive improvement
  • Share what works
  • Build a culture where everyone keeps getting better

What you’ll need:

  • A strong track record of making real improvements in your own school(s)
  • A willingness to try, reflect, refine, and try again - and get others to do the same
  • Excellent people skills
  • The flexibility to go with the flow - school improvement can be messy
