Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding role within our Science Department?
We are looking for a Science Technician to support classroom teachers in the raising of standards and achievement of the Science department. This role will be supporting science teachers, and you will be preparing resources, equipment and assist with practical lessons and undertake cleaning to maintain high standards.
The science department has grown and is in a strong position to provide the best science education for our students. It's an exciting time to join as we expand our team, resources and student opportunities. We're a friendly and supportive team who boast a wide range of expertise and experience levels. The department aims to inspire curiosity and an enjoyment of learning by providing the knowledge and skills to question, investigate and analyse the world around us.
You're someone who'll be able to:
* Safely operate and maintain specialist equipment, showing expertise in the field.
* Provide technical advice on health and safety issues to both teachers and technical support staff.
* Efficiently manage science preparations, delivering a high-quality service to teaching staff
* Prepare for lessons and demonstrations by collecting and organising equipment and materials.

You're someone who has:
* A-Level or GCSE Science or NVQ 2 or equivalent, or relevant experience in a science and/or technology environment
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, essential for effective communication and record-keeping
* Te ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing service needs
