Science Technician job summary

The Science Department is a large and committed team with Biology, Chemistry and Physics subject specialists. Students from Year 7 to Year 13 undertake practical work in lessons, for which our technicians provide vital organisation, creativity and support. Teachers work closely with technicians who manage the resources needed for this valuable learning, bringing the curriculum to life.

You will have good organisational and interpersonal skills; those with experience of working in a scientific environment will have an advantage, although scientific experience is not essential. Understanding of Chemistry would be an advantage. You will be required to act as First Aider within this area of the school.

The post is for 20 hours per week Wednesday and Thursday, 8.30am-3.30pm, and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm, 39 weeks per year.
