Science has a role of great importance within the curriculum. The faculty is exceptionally well equipped with seven dedicated laboratories and a prep room. All labs are well provided with resources to ensure the delivery of a dynamic and exhilarating curriculum for our students, where practical investigation is placed at the heart of teaching and learning in order to engage and inspire our students as young scientists. We teach general science to KS3, then separate physics, chemistry, and biology from years 10 to 13. The importance of practical work in our curriculum means our technicians serve a key role. We use Lablogger to manage practical work within the department.
The buildings are equipped with modern facilities with interactive smartboards and access to Chromebooks.
We offer:
A supportive and encouraging staff team.
The opportunity to access a wide range of CPD opportunities within and beyond school.
A school which understands the importance of staff well-being and workload management.
A positive ethos with excellent behaviour reinforced by a highly visible Headship Team and centralised behaviour systems.

Hours: 35 hours a week, 39 weeks a year (term time only plus 5 Inset Days)
We are dedicated to creating a work environment that our colleagues can enjoy, our students can benefit from, and where work complements life.
