Science Technician job summary

We have the exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced staff in a high quality and well-resourced environment in the role of Science Technician. We are based in West London/Ealing. This position is to commence in September 2026. Working hours: 36 hours per week, term-time + PD days.

The main purpose of the role will include the preparation and maintenance of stock and apparatus for class use and the provision of technical help and support to the teaching staff and students. You will also be responsible the replenishment of materials, equipments, apparatus, software and chemicals. The safe storage and disposal of chemicals and all hazardous biological waste and cultures is paramount.

Skills & Experience needed:

  • The role of Science Technician includes the preparation and maintenance of stock and apparatus for class use and the provision of technical help and support to the teaching staff and students.
  • The safe storage and disposal of chemicals and all hazardous biological waste and cultures is paramount.
  • Applicants must hold GCSE Science Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent) Educated to Level 3 standard (A-Level/NVQ or equivalent)
  • Ability to work with students and provide practical advice and experience of running experiments
