Ferndown Middle School is situated in Ferndown adjacent to Ferndown First and Ferndown Upper Schools. The school has up to 600 pupils, covering the age range 9 to 13 years old (year groups 5 to 8).
We are seeking to appoint a permanent part-time Science Technician to join our friendly and successful school as an integral part of the Science Department.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- To provide technical and administrative support to teaching staff in science departments.
- To support the teaching staff to ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain classrooms and laboratories; prepare and maintain materials for use by staff and pupils, ensuring that an orderly, safe and healthy environment is provided for teaching activities.
- Prepare and assemble teaching resources, apparatus, solutions, specimens and equipment for use by staff and pupils

Pay range:
Grade D, SCP 5-6, £23,550-£23,893 Full-time Equivalent (Pending pay award)
Hours: 23 hours per week, across four days, term time only
