Are you in search of a rewarding role supporting both teachers and students? We are looking to recruit an outstanding Science Technician who is able to assist in the efficient running of our science laboratories.

Your Opportunity

Merstham Park School is looking to appoint a conscientious and dedicated Science Technician to provide technical and learning support to teaching staff and to our students. This role will be well suited for candidates who are looking to work with students to advise and guide them safely so that their learning in Science is safe and enjoyable.

As a member of the team at Merstham Park School, you will have plenty of CPD opportunities for professional development and growth. Working as part of the GLF Trust comprising of 43 schools, we can support you with career pathways for progression.

  • Ability to plan and prioritise a range of regular and irregular tasks within specific deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow strict Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Word, Outlook (training can be provided)

The Details

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Permanent, Term-time only

Working hours: 28.75hrs per week, 39 weeks of the year (flexible timings/days)

Pay Scale: GLF Specialist £26,272 (FTE)

Actual Salary: £18,049
