Reepham High School & College is an 11-18 comprehensive school, 12 miles north of Norwich. It has approximately 1100 students in total, including 240 students in the sixth form, known as ‘Reepham College’. The school serves a very wide catchment area of nearly 400 square kilometres and 85% of our young people travel by bus.

The school is a true comprehensive school with pupils of all abilities and backgrounds. The intake of the school is broadly in line with the national average in terms of prior attainment. We are currently working to improve our GCSE results, although performance at A Level is consistently in the top 10% nationally for progress made.

We are seeking a Science Technician to play an important role in supporting our Senior Science Technician at Reepham High School & College. You will work with a highly professional team to provide efficient and effective technical support to our science department.

It would be advantageous to understand a scientific discipline and preferably have worked in a similar scientific or technical environment, with a good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, but training can be provided. Working with our Senior Science Technician duties will include ensuring that our Science prep room is highly organised, and adheres to Health and Safety regulations and guidelines, preparing apparatus and equipment for practical lessons, the maintenance and servicing of science machinery, equipment and apparatus, stock control and sourcing materials, and ensuring materials and equipment are managed effectively and handled safely, keeping accurate records, and administrative support as required.
