​The Science department are seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious individual, with a passion for research and development within education. The technician will support the department in bringing to life the practical elements of the curriculum, to enrich our students with their transformational journey beyond education. We are a very supportive department, who work hard to support professional development and this role could be a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in education, or laboratory-based roles.

​St Mark's were inspected by Ofsted in March 2023.  The Academy performed exceptionally well in all areas, with particular reference made to expert curriculum design; transformational teaching and learning underpinned by the highest expectations; the extra-curricular offer and staff and pupil wellbeing.   

​  The report states, “there is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded (section 5) inspection now.” 


​ This could not be a more exciting time to join the St Mark's family. Outcomes at the Academy at both Key Stage 4 and 5 are in the top 10% of all schools nationally. In 2022 an impressive 58% of all A Levels were awarded A*-B grades and the Progress 8 Score was +0.59-ALPS Grade 2.
