Science Technician job summary

  • Hours of work : Full Time 37hrs per week
  • Term weeks: 38 + 2 weeks during school closure

Workington Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable candidate to support the Science Department from September 2025. The candidate will have a willingness to work across all the Sciences when required and will be an experienced technician with an understanding of the technical aspects of lesson preparation. The successful candidate will be flexible to meet the teaching and learning requirements of each subject area. Experience of working in a laboratory setting and/or educational setting would be an advantage.

This is a term time position in which the successful candidate will work an additional two weeks during the school closure period (school holidays).
