Second in Charge of English job summary
Required for September 2025, Stopsley High School is looking to recruit an highly ambitious, knowledgeable and motivated leader, as 2nd in Charge of the English Department.
The successful candidate will be joining an enthusiastic, experienced and highly ambitious team.
They will demonstrate real enthusiasm for high quality teaching, curriculum design and development of staff. It is also vital they show a willingness to work to make an already established department even stronger. There will be a full programme of CPD available to the successful candidate.
Stopsley High School has been on a rapid improvement journey which included academising in September 2021 and joining the Middlesex Learning Trust. The School has benefitted from collaborative networking across the three schools, opportunities to showcase best practice and access to innovative training opportunities. All of this hard work culminated in an incredibly positive Ofsted in September 2022, in which the school was graded as “Good” in all five areas.
