Second in Charge of Mathematics job summary
The Deputy Head of Mathematics (2IC) supports the Head of Mathematics in leading and managing the department to secure high-quality teaching, learning, and outcomes across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The role is responsible for implementing strategies to raise attainment and progress, improve student engagement with Sparx Maths home learning, develop enrichment activities, and lead the sequencing, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of the KS3 WhiteRose Maths curriculum to ensure consistent progression and mastery of mathematical concepts.
