Second in Department: Mathematics job summary
We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher who is keen to move to the next stage of his/her career. The successful candidate will be one who has demonstrated capacity for leadership in their current role, and one who has a clear pathway to school leadership. Experience of teaching across Key Stage Three and Four is essential. The department is dynamic and forward thinking, and eager to see pupils succeed. The post would be ideal for someone who has had a successful first few years in education and is looking to take on more responsibility in a new school. We need an inspiring teacher and an imaginative leader who can nurture colleagues to exceed their own expectations.
You will have a passion for Mathematics and for education. You will be committed to improving life chances for young people, as well as to your own professional development. You will have a clear vision of how to bring Mathematics alive in the classroom, and how to communicate a love of Numeracy to the whole school. For the right candidate, there will be opportunity to take ownership of Numeracy across the Curriculum.
