Following our successful visit from Ofsted, in which we were graded Good in all areas, we are now embarking on our next round of recruitment to ensure the highest standard of quality teaching for our students. We require a well-qualified and enthusiastic Second in Maths to join our maths department who once again led our students to achieve above national average outcomes last academic year at both KS4 and KS5. You will be joining an excellent maths team supported by a Head of Maths and Lead Practitioner. This post would suit a teacher of maths with aspirations for future Head of Department or an experienced practitioner wanting to widen their impact in improving maths provision in a thriving department.
Successful candidates will play a significant role in continuing our drive with raising standards and raising student outcomes in Maths. You will be proactive with accessing and sharing the most recent research in your subject area along with teaching pedagogy and maths specialist support. As Second in department, you will have the opportunity to work with the leadership team who are passionate about research informed strategies to improve teaching and learning, ensuring that our young people achieve the best outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work together to contribute to whole school CPD, sharing your expertise with colleagues including coaching and development. Alongside these opportunities, you will be part of our exciting new state-of-the-art school which is opening in September, benefiting from outstanding classroom facilities.
