SEMH Class Teacher x 2 job summary
Are you a dedicated and exemplary teacher with a passionate belief that all pupils can make exceptional progress?
We are looking to recruit a SEMH/SEND teacher who is able to deliver maths or english alongside other subjects, such as vocational options, to work with small classes of KS3, 4 and 5 pupils with Special Educational Needs and a history of attachment, trauma and SEMH difficulties.
The successful candidate will:
• be experienced and/or interested in SEN practices and provision with extensive knowledge of how to meet the needs of pupils with SEN or the capacity to gain this quickly
• have a great deal of enthusiasm and can motivate and inspire all pupils to learn
• have excellent communication skills
• be flexible and have an interest in teaching a range of subjects

Aspire Academy is a special school for children with SEMH identified as their primary need. The school is growing, recently benefiting from a £2m development, we are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach KS3-5 pupils and deliver part of the Vocational curriculum. At Aspire we deliver Construction, DT, Hair and Beauty, Land based studies and Hospitality and catering. We would welcome applications from teachers/NQT’s who have experience or a passion for SEN or teachers from mainstream schools who have the capacity to develop their skills.
