What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity to transform the lives of our most vulnerable pupils. We are looking for an expert in social emotional and mental health (SEMH) who is able to lead and coordinate provision for pupils who receive SEMH In-School Provision (SEMH ISIP). The goal of the provision is to support pupils with complex SEMH to develop the skills that they require to succeed in mainstream lessons. The SEMH ISIP Coordinator will work with the senior leader for inclusion and the special educational needs coordinator to oversee and coordinate individual pupil provision including mental health support, speech and language therapy input, and interventions supporting self-regulation.

You will have:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership experience in an Alternative Provision with children in a secondary school or other setting.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team.
