SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant job summary

To work with children who have complex needs to support their communication, learning, social development and sensory needs.


The ideal candidate will:

  • - develop supportive, caring and secure relationships with children so they thrive and meet their full potential

- develop knowledge and understanding of the specific needs of children and respond to them effectively

  • - have experience of working with children with additional needs

  • - be motivated and contribute to the ethos of our friendly school

  • - be a good team player with good interpersonal skills

  • - have good numeracy and literacy skills

  • - be able to work with teachers and work independently to support children

  • - be prepared to assist with intimate care.

  • - are pro-active and full of energy!

Further learning or qualifications in Special Educational Needs are a bonus for the role.
