Are you a compassionate teacher eager to empower young people with special educational needs, including those with SEMH and autism? Fern House School offers a fantastic opportunity for an SEN Teacher or ECT with QTS to join our welcoming and well-resourced school, where you can make a real difference to our neurodiverse learners.

We are looking for an SEN Teacher or ECT who:

  • Demonstrates resilience, reflective practice, warmth, creativity and adaptability in their teaching.
  • Values teamwork, emotional intelligence and a commitment to personalised education.

  • Has a passion for the unique opportunities of teaching outside of a mainstream environment in a special school setting.
  • Possesses a kind, caring and compassionate nature, enabling them to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons.

  • Holds a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS).

As an SEN Teacher or ECT at Fern House, you will have:

  • Bring learning to life through personalised and engaging lessons.

  • Unlock potential by creatively adapting content for learners with diverse EHCP needs.
  • Be a key figure in building secure and trusting relationships with students and their families.
    • Work collaboratively with the wider support team to meet the needs of our pupils.
    • Continuously evolve your practice through feedback and dedicated CPD.
