SEN Co-ordinator job summary

About the Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) who will:

Lead and develop our SEND provision across the school.

Work closely with staff, families and external professionals to ensure high‑quality support for pupils with additional needs.

Support the identification of pupils with SEND and oversee high quality adaptive teaching and learning and effective interventions.

Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure inclusive practice is embedded throughout the school.

Contribute to strategic planning as part of our improvement journey.

This role is ideal for an experienced SENCO or a teacher with a strong SEND background who is ready to take the next step.

We are looking for someone who:

Is passionate about inclusive education and improving outcomes for all pupils.

Has a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.

Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Is reflective, proactive and committed to school improvement.
