What skills and experience we're looking for

Key Responsibilities:

This role is based at our Rowde campus.

  • Deliver high-quality early years teaching within a specialist SEND setting
  • Conduct home visits in Term 1 to establish strong relationships with pupils and families
  • Support children attending water confidence sessions in the onsite hydrotherapy pool
  • Utilise our extensive outdoor areas and work with school animals to enhance learning and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a shared team ethos
  • Foster an environment rich in sensory experiences and structured exploration

We are looking for someone who:

  • Brings a strong understanding of SEND and the unique challenges you might face in the role
  • Is passionate about Early Childhood Education and nurturing young learners
  • Brings strong communication and observation skills
  • Has a creative and imaginative approach to curriculum delivery
  • Can foster a stimulating, safe and motivating learning environment
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Has patience, empathy and compassion, understanding that every day is full of new experiences for these pupils
  • Can adapt teaching to meet a range of SEND needs
  • Values sensory play, outdoor learning and real-world exploration
