SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
Temple Hill Primary Academy have expanded their provision for children with autism, and we are looking to appoint another amazing adult to join our talented and supportive team as a SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
This role is 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8.30am -3.30pm, 38 weeks per year, term time only. The full-time salary for this is currently paid at KSE, £27,82 - £29,716 pro-rata to an actual annual salary of £20,778.95 - £22,169.59 plus a SEN Allowance of £1,484.97 full-time equivalent.
The role is to lead one of our rooms of 6-10 children, with the support of the lead teacher for alternative provision and the rest of the inclusion team.
There are 8 wonderful young people and 6 committed members of support staff in this developing provision with children in year groups 2-5. Our Nest classes currently have a bespoke classroom and breakout spaces, with a sensory room, as well as a great garden space directly outside the classroom. We are receiving investment from the local authority to develop these spaces to what our children deserve. We welcome a visit to meet the children and the team as always.
