Job/Person Summary
We are looking for a talented and inspirational SEN Hub Lead Teacher for our new, outstanding provision at Wellington Community Primary School. We are a driven team who relentlessly aim to provide an exemplary education to our most vulnerable children. Our high expectations and passion have created an incredibly special provision where you could become an expert in your field whilst changing lives.
We are looking for an exceptional practitioner who:
- Has a working knowledge of a wide variety of strategies to support and enable children to fully access all areas of school life, based on experience of teaching in an alternative setting, specialist unit or experience of being a SENCO
- Has experience of developing and implementing an exciting curriculum in specialist provision
- Has held a responsibility or leadership role in a school
- Has an in-depth knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
- Has high expectations of themselves, their colleagues and their pupils
- Can create a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where children and their learning are the priority
- Work flexibly and reflectively as part of a team committed to outstanding practice
- Be actively supportive of the values and ethos of the school
- Possesses excellent organisational and interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents alike
- Demonstrates a commitment to pupils’ development and pastoral care
- Is able to build strong relationships with children and meet their individual needs
- Is always willing to learn, research and develop best practice within the hub
