SEN Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant job summary

The Rowans AP Academy is seeking to appoint a highly effective SEN Learning & Behaviour Support Assistant, to start from April 2025.

The Rowans Primary Provision is a new provision opened in September 2023 and expanding this year to take up to 24 children. The Primary SEN provision caters for pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan with their main need being Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

Our tailored curriculum, meaningful qualifications, and holistic family support help pupils build confidence, achieve success, and prepare for their next steps. With a strong commitment to safeguarding, we ensure a safe and nurturing space where every young person can grow academically and socially.

This is a part time (33 hours per week), permanent role, Term Time Only, paid based on the NJC pay scale C1 point 6-19 (FTE £25,183 - £31,067 – actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis), as well as an additional SEN Allowance of £1,491 per annum.

The working pattern for this position will consist of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:30-15:25, and Wednesday 8:30-16:00, with a 30-minute unpaid break.
