Part Time 25 hours per week / Temporary contract / Term time Including INSET days

Salary: £23,858 - £26,014 FTE (actual salary £14,125 - £15,400 pro rata per annum)

Are you flexible, patient, caring and confident with children?

We are looking to recruit a SEND Learning Support Assistant to work alongside the teachers and other support staff in our Academy. This role is a temporary post, linked to Educational Health Care Plan (ECHP) funding.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Supporting SEND child(ren)

• Maintain records for pupils showing progress against key targets

• Liaise with class teachers to ensure best outcomes for pupils

• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment

Key Roles and responsibilities:

• To support teachers in providing for the education and welfare of all children in the academy, taking account of their needs

• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment

• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all children in learning and extracurricular activities

• Show professionalism by having proper regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the academy

• Consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils

• Work collaboratively with teachers and other colleagues

• Have some experience in supporting children who have additional needs

• Be enthusiastic and have a genuine passion for motivating children to be their best
