SEN Support job summary

Are you passionate about Special Educational Needs? Do you want to work with supportive staff in a friendly school where children are keen to learn?

We are looking to appoint a caring, patient and highly motivated person who is keen to make a difference to the lives of young people with additional needs. This post is specifically to support 2 reception aged children. Experience of working/supporting children with multiple learning needs and/or autism would be an advantage. A detailed job description is attached.

We can offer the successful candidate a warm, open and friendly working environment, excellent training and the opportunity to be part of a fun but hard-working team.

Our well-resourced, two form entry school offers a stimulating and creative learning environment in a calm, well-maintained, school building set in beautiful open grounds.

Meryfield is part of the Agora Learning Partnership Trust (formerly the Herts for Learning Multi Academy Trust), which is an inclusive, collaborative and forward looking Trust where we all work together, to give all of the children in our academies the best possible education and learning opportunities. The Agora Learning Partnership consists of 9 schools. The schools within the Trust each maintain their own clear identity, however, we work collaboratively within the Trust so there is a huge amount of opportunity and support for staff in each school. For more information about the Trust, please visit their website.

We are very proud of our school and strongly encourage candidates to visit before applying as our children and staff will be more than happy to answer your questions and provide an insight into what life at Meryfield is like. Please contact our school office on 020 8953 2106 and speak our admin team, who will be happy to arrange an appointment for you to visit.

We reserve the right to close the advert early for the right candidate.

We follow the Agora Learning Partnership Trust Safer Recruitment Policy selection procedure for each post.

Meryfield is committed to safeguarding our children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service(DBS) check.
