SEN Teacher
Required for January 2025
Are you passionate about making a difference for all children?
We are seeking an inspirational teacher with experience in SEN, vision, and high expectations for learning to join our growing team; inspiring children and promoting excellence.
Boxgrove is a welcoming two-form-entry primary school amongst a diverse and thriving community. As part of the Compass Partnership of schools, we pride ourselves on being an ethical and ambitious learning community that seeks to inspire every child to value their education, know themselves, understand others and work to create a fair, just and sustainable society.
We are commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich to provide a specialist provision within our school for children with a diagnosis of ASD. This is a small school-based provision with learners who require additional support with accessing the curriculum in school and to develop the range of personal, social and emotional skills needed to be successful in life. We are now seeking an experienced teacher, passionate about supporting children with SEND.
In return, you will be joining a strong and supportive team of staff within a school that is committed to providing the best possible learning opportunities for its children and staff. We have strong networks as part of the Compass Partnership of schools.
We have very high expectations of all staff and children and would expect the successful candidate to share in our vision that we can 'shape the future and change lives'.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a strong classroom practitioner, who is committed to providing the highest standards of provision for SEND pupils within the DSP
- Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional growth
- Embrace opportunities for research and development
- Be passionate about sharing best practice with colleagues across the school and wider Trust.
We can offer you :-
Wonderful, enthusiastic children who are motivated to learn.
A supportive team committed to raising standards for all children.
A commitment to your own CPD.
A part in a forward thinking, dynamic Partnership who see children at the heart of the learning process.
Access to the latest research and lead on the implementation of this into classroom practice.
Closing date: Monday 2nd December
Shortlisting date: Tuesday 3rd December
Interviews will be held during the week commencing: Monday 2nd December
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils attending the school. As the duties of this post involve regular contact with children, any offer to the successful candidate will be conditional upon an Enhanced Disclosure being obtained via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Visits to school are warmly welcomed; please contact Niquel Price on nprice@compassps.uk to arrange an appointment. In the meantime, please take a look at our website www.boxgrove.compassps.uk where you will learn more about our School, its ethos and values. We hope to hear from you soon.
