SEN Teacher EYFS/KS1 job summary
This is an exciting opportunity, to join our team as a class teacher and to support and develop the school in line with its shared values and improvement priorities.
Doubletrees School provides a creative and ambitious centre of learning for 110 pupils with a range of severe and complex learning, communication needs aged from 2-19 years.
The school is a member of the Special Partnership Trust, an ambitious and inspiring collaboration of specialist provision across Cornwall, Devon and Torbay, with a focus on excellence in learning for everyone.
We are looking for a skilled teacher; with SEN experience.
The role requires a love of teaching and a passion to learn; you will also require drive, enthusiasm, and resilience to join our successful and supportive teaching team.

Please also state your SEN experience. We are looking appoint an individual with a positive outlook, a proactive attitude and a track record of high-quality teaching and learning. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering excellent personalised learning opportunities, to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, all of whom will have Education Health and Care Plans.
Primary experience is advantageous; applicants transitioning from mainstream are most welcome however experience within Early Years and or Key Stage 1 or a in depth knowledge of early reading, writing, phonics and number development is key, as these skills are required when teaching in any of our classes, across all or our age ranges.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of SEN teaching and working with pupils with PMLD, Autism, severe learning difficulties, SEMH and/ or communication needs and evidence the ability to work effectively within a multi-agency team to improve outcomes for pupils or have a strong passion and desire to learn in this area.
The role is for a SEN teacher, who may be asked to teach across any of our age ranges, Knowledge of delivering sensory based curriculums would be advantageous.
