We are looking for someone who:
- is a highly organised and effective SEN teacher, who understands and can deliver consistently high-quality teaching
- can work calmly under pressure and to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances/situations
- can plan and adapt effectively for children with special educational needs within our informal resource base
- can work effectively as part of a team; understanding how to get the best out of themselves and others
- can motivate and inspire, supporting and promoting the vision and values of the school
- is keen to develop professional expertise
- is creative, flexible and has a sense of humour
- enjoys working with supportive parents, experienced colleagues and the wider community
Key Responsibilities (further details in the attached application pack):
- To support the vision and aims of the school and Amplify Education
- To implement changes as directed by the senior leadership team.
- To work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues to achieve the aims of the School Development Plan.
- To help all of our pupils be “on TRACK”. Our Vision and Values.
- Lead the day-to-day operation and strategic development of the Communication and Interaction Resource Base.
- Develop and maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
- Model and promote best practice in SEND provision across the school.
- Support the school’s inclusive ethos and contribute to whole-school SEND development.
- Line manage and support teaching assistants and support staff working within the provision.

Fluency Duty
This role has been identified as falling within the definition of requiring fluency in spoken English. You will be required to speak English with confidence and be able to conduct a conversation and answer questions for extended periods of time.
