What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our talented team on our Primary aged PDA satellite site. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality personal and educational development to a group of pupils learning to value themselves and engage in quality learning. The role offers equal parts challenge and reward.
Key Responsibilities:
- To effectively plan educational activities that are motivating to learners
- To organise a person-centred learning environment ensuring pupils have access to a variety of practical equipment and Information Communication Technology
- Provide a stimulating classroom environment appropriate to the age and needs of the pupils
- Develop a solid understanding of the anxiety driven regulation difficulties experienced by children with PDA and promote a positive behavioural approach to supporting regulation
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification
- Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS or be willing to undergo teacher training in line with current regulations
- Experience of working with students with SEN
