What skills and experience we're looking for
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to learners with a range of complex special educational needs.
- Support students with speech and communication difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions, social and emotional mental health needs, and learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities and interventions.
- Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress.
Candidate Profile:
- Enthusiastic and motivated individual with a genuine interest in working with learners with special educational needs.
- Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to the varying needs of students.
- Experience and understanding of special educational needs, autistic spectrum disorder, and safeguarding.
- Highly motivated with a commitment to supporting student development.
- Excellent teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Committed to their own professional development, with a willingness to learn and grow in their role as a Teaching Assistant.

We are all immensely proud of our School. Sidestrand Hall School caters for pupils aged 7 – 19 years with wide ranging complex needs. The School stands in 15 acres of land on the North Norfolk Coast. We have a range of specialist facilities on site including gardens, greenhouse, woods with a bike trail, a go-kart track, mechanics and construction workshops, science lab, food technology room, sensory room, purpose built Sixth Form and residential units.
