The successful candidate must enjoy being part of a team and be committed to further training and skill acquisition.
The role will be to provide interactive support to the child, facilitating their inclusion and enabling them to learn, feel safe and enjoy their time at school.
Sensitivity, patience and an ability to work on your own initiative are necessary qualities, as well as the ability to work as part of our effective and caring team.
The role will also include helping to supervise pupils during lunchtime break. This will include assisting with their lunch and supervising play activities/games in the playground at lunchtime.
The successful candidate should have good communication skills, a desire to facilitate children's learning and a commitment to working in partnership with parents and liaising with outside agencies. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a real difference.

Further information about the job
Calstock School are looking to recruit a caring and committed person to work one to one with a child in the school on a full-time basis. Ideally, you will need to have experience working on a 1:1 basis with pupils with additional needs. The successful candidate must enjoy being part of a team and be committed to further training and skill acquisition.

Hours would be Monday to Friday (all day) 9:00am to 3.15pm.
