Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. We are situated in extensive grounds and ideally located between Bath and Bristol. We benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation.

We are recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with a named student, in or out of the classroom.

This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep a named student on task and respond to questions and generally assist a named student to undertake set activities.

We are looking to appoint an outgoing, enthusiastic and flexible member of support staff to join our well regarded, successful and supportive team. We are seeking an individual who enjoys working with young people; someone who puts children first and has good communication and organisational skills.
