SEN Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary
We have an exceptional record of success with our pupils and maintain very high standards.Directly responsible for: working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise small groups of pupils occasionally during any short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to offer support in the classroom to guide pupils in their learning.for the Pupils
Support for Pupils:
Use specialist (curricular/learning) skills/training/experience to support pupils with ASD/SEMH needs.
Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities
Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward achievement of self- reliance
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement.We introduced the Enhanced Resource Provision - Silver Street Campus to help address and meet the specific needs of the pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism.

We introduced the Enhanced Resource Provision - Silver Street Campus to help address and meet the specific needs of the pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team after the October half term.
The successful applicant will be required to provide support to pupils with ASD and a range of learning difficulties and complex needs.
We are looking for applicants who have high expectations for all students and are committed to developing their full potential. Previous experience in working with ASD / SEND pupils is desirable.
Applicants are expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Possess good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills in order to support learning, have the ability to promote independence and confidence and be an excellent role model to all.
You must have a caring, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team, and able to use your own initiative and to work without supervision.
Applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours as appropriate.
