Job role: Teaching assistant

Key stage: Early years, Key stage 1, Key stage 2
Working pattern: Part time: 32.5 hrs pw, TTO, + 5 Days.
Contract type: Fixed term - Until August 2025
Pay scale: Grade 3 - £23,114 - £24,294 FTE (Actual Salary £17,618 - £18,517)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Understanding of relevant codes of practice/ and legislation
Basic understanding of child development and learning
Training in relevant learning strategies
Knowledge of a range of strategies to promote good behaviour
Awareness of whole-school confidentiality issues
Good knowledge of the KS1 and 2 Curriculum
To effectively use ICT and other equipment – video, photocopier, I pad and laptop.
Ability to relate well to children and adults
Ability to self-evaluate learning needs
Able to manage the behaviour of pupils
Able to motivate and inspire young learners
Able to support processes and procedures for pupil learning
Able to demonstrate initiative and work constructively as part of a team
Able to work in a flexible and responsive way
Demonstrates tact, discretion and confidentiality
Demonstrates competence in numeracy and literacy
Good communication skills
Experience of working with children within a primary school
Experience of working with children with complex SEND and ASD
GCSE English and Mathematics
SEN/ASD (working towards or willing to obtain) is desirable, or equivalent qualifications or experience
This post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A Criminal Record Disclosure will be required prior to appointment
