SEN Teaching Assistant job summary

Surfleet Primary School is looking to add to our friendly and supportive staff team for new roles starting in September 2025.

Being a fully inclusive school, we are looking for the following TA role:

1x Grade 3 point 6 position available working Thursday and Friday

  • 1 x part time SEN Teaching Assistant (7 hours split over Thursday and Friday morning) to work with children who are already established in our school

We offer a great education to our children as well as plenty of opportunities to develop their personal and leadership skills. Our children are happy, eager to learn and feel safe at school. We are a small school at the heart of the community, judged Good by Ofsted in June 2024. We strive for the very best for all of our pupils with support from our parents, who want the very best for their children. Overview of the role of SEN Teaching Assistant:

Providing support to students in and out of the classroom.

Assisting Teachers with a range of educational needs.

Providing students with the care and compassion they need to thrive in school.

Liaising with parents and external agencies where suitable.

Supporting with appropriate interventions such as literacy and numeracy.

Work collaboratively as a team to improve outcomes for our students.
